The DHS will get more resistance to unrestricted laptop border searches. Strange how many different groups are weighing and reporting on this story. Then again, maybe not so strange.

If this article about Delta’s Wifi rollout is any indication, we stand to have internet hotspots on more of the route between planetary hot spots. With a little knowledge, luck, manipulation and one of these wifi enabled SD cards, you could conceivably access your bagcam from your seat, then edit and upload the video while still in the air.

The Homeland Security Department has declared its right to seize laptops at the U.S. border indefinitely, but legislation introduced Thursday is intended to curb that power.
This hit the wires on 9/30/08, and CNET has a good writeup, with links to other information.
